“There were about 12 people in the stands the last time these two played. It was at an (Albuquerque) Academy tournament in 2003. There was never a rivalry between us. But this is going to be a lot of fun.”
“With the (New Mexico Activities Association) reshuffling the deck every couple of years, who knows if we'll be in the same district as them in the future. But for now, this is a fun district.”
“I think it's really more of a pride thing. I think their guys and our guys want to be the first to win a regular-season district championship in this district. Our teams like playing against each other, so it's another opportunity to have a good game.”
