“We were trying a bunch of different combinations of kids, so we were clunky - shots wouldn't fall, it was real physical, and there was lots of slapping and reaching. We played reasonably well, but never got into a rhythm. Amanda Johns did a great job off the bench. Sometimes when your starters are having off nights, it's nice to have players who can help out.”
“Port Arthur played good man to man defense for four quarters, but we managed to outscore them. I expected us to use this game to get over the christmas break, which we did. We played hard.”
“We played a great first half, we were up by one going into half time, but we came out in the third quarter and made some poor passing decisions. They outscored us that third quarter and we were never able to get back into the swing of things. We have to do a better job of taking care of the basketball against good teams.”
