“I was very pleased with everything. We were moving along and clicking off good solid times. Next thing I knew, Jamie reported difficulty with the gearbox linkage. The crew did a great job of getting him back on track, but we did lose precious time.”
“This was the easiest race I've ever won. Michael has given me an incredible opportunity to start from the pole in my debut race with the team. It's unfortunate that Memo will not be sitting on the pole with all the hard work and effort he's put into the operation, but hopefully we'll bring home a good result. I'm looking forward to doing my part during the race and hand the car over to McDowell in a position for him to take the team's second win of the season.”
“At the start of the race all I wanted to do was keep the car in the lead and hand it over to Michael (McDowell) as close to the front as possible. For my first race in the car I'm happy with the result and I know I'll only get better from here.
