“The well had been flowing small amounts most of the day and the crew was trying to get it under control. We couldn't log it under those conditions so we were getting ready to leave in about five minutes when mud started shooting up out of the hole. The gas came out and five minutes later it was on fire. The drilling crew performed some heroics trying to prevent it from happening.”
